Hillary & Amar

Long time, no see! Freshman year of college has been a whirlwind of steeple races, PBR, and amazing people. This past week I had the fortune of lunching with my Constitutional Law Professor, Akhil Reed Amar, a legendary legal expert and progressive thinker. Some other Yalies and I desperate for his genius insight discussed, among other things, the legal repercussions of the Boston bombings and the pending issue of DOMA on the Supreme Court.

On the latter issue, Professor Ahmar voiced with almost complete certainty the fact that DOMA will be repealed. Hallelujah. The real question at hand, however, is whether the issue of same-sex marriage will be left to the feds or to the states. To tie this in with the best political diva of all time, below is a stirring speech that Hillary delivered in Geneva when she was logging plenty of aerial miles as Secretary of State:

"Gay rights are human rights". This speech is for the ages.
